Similarly, Harris was a key supporter of Biden’s COVID-19 stimulus bill, which was criticized by many economists for its potential to exacerbate inflation. Harris reportedly wanted to increase the amount of borrowed money in the bill, which would have had even more severe consequences for the economy.
Harris has also been criticized for her handling of the withdrawal from Afghanistan, which was widely seen as a botched and reckless operation that put the lives of US service members at risk.
