Colbert kicked off the episode with a tongue-in-cheek parody of 60 Minutes’ introduction to their recent interview with Harris, setting a lighthearted and humorous tone for the evening. He took a jab at former President Donald Trump, joking that he had invited Trump to appear on the show, but Trump had declined.
The comedian then dove into a discussion of Harris’s recent appearance on the Call Her Daddy podcast and touched on some of her stances on key issues, including abortion. However, the discussion soon shifted to criticism of Trump, with Harris implying that he was a “loser” and sharing an anecdote about a supporter who had highlighted the economic losses and job cuts during Trump’s presidency.
