Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg has expressed admiration for Donald Trump’s resilience in the face of adversity, following a recent assassination attempt that left the former president injured. In an interview with Bloomberg’s Emily Chang, Zuckerberg reflected on the “historic events” of the presidential contest, including the attack that occurred in Pennsylvania.

Zuckerberg described Trump’s reaction to the shooting as “one of the most badass things I’ve ever seen in my life,” citing the former president’s ability to get up and pump his fist in the air with the American flag. He acknowledged that the incident had left him emotionally moved, stating that “as an American, it’s hard to not get kind of emotional about that spirit and that fight.”

Zuckerberg’s comments suggest that Trump’s campaign may be gaining traction among some who have historically been critical of the former president. The Meta CEO’s remarks come as Trump’s campaign has entered a new phase of acceptance, with some pundits noting a different “vibe” at the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee.

In July, Meta announced that it would be ending the suspension of Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, citing the importance of allowing politicians to express their views so that the public can make informed decisions.
