Samsung Puts Galaxy Buds 3 Pro Launch on Hold Due to Quality Control Issues

Samsung has put a hold on the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro launch, citing a need to “urgently assess and enhance” quality control measures. This decision comes after customers who received the earbuds reported that the ear tips were prone to easy tearing. Samsung has halted deliveries to distribution channels, with a revised release date of August 28 reportedly added to the company’s website.

Samsung’s official statement (read below) acknowledged the issues, apologizing for any inconvenience and assuring customers that the products must meet the company’s quality standards. The South Korean technology giant has also withdrawn the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro listing from Amazon, effective immediately.

Notably, Samsung Korea previously addressed the quality control issues, issuing an apology and promising a full inspection. However, at the time, no delay in the launch was mentioned. In related news, an email sent to a pre-order customer has been obtained, revealing a delay in the launch and advising recipients to request a cancellation if desired.

There have been reports relating to a limited number of early production Galaxy Buds 3 Pro devices.

We are taking this matter very seriously and remain committed to meeting the highest quality standards of our products. We are urgently assessing and enhancing our quality control processes.

To ensure all products meet our quality standards, we have temporarily suspended deliveries of Galaxy Buds3 Pro devices to distribution channels to conduct a full quality control evaluation before shipments to consumers take place.

We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
