Vance to Harris: ‘You’re the Face of Disloyalty’

Senator JD Vance (R-OH) fired back at Vice President Kamala Harris during a rally in Atlanta, Georgia, accusing her of hypocrisy on the issue of loyalty. Harris had previously questioned Vance’s and former President Donald Trump’s commitment to the United States, prompting Vance to tell her to “look in the mirror” to see the true face of disloyalty.

Vance took aim at Harris’s stance on border security, immigration, and economic policy, contrasting them with his own views and those of Trump. “We’re accustomed to baseless attacks from Democrats and the media, but what I find particularly galling is when Kamala Harris presumes to question our loyalty to this country,” Vance told the crowd.

According to Vance, true loyalty to the United States means securing the border, making life more affordable, and protecting Medicare for American citizens. He also highlighted the importance of safeguarding national security and honoring the sacrifices of service members, such as himself, who have served in the United States Marine Corps. “If you want to see the embodiment of disloyalty, Vice President Harris, I suggest you take a look in the mirror,” Vance said.

This is not the first time Vance has pushed back against Harris’s remarks on his loyalty. At a previous rally in St. Cloud, Minnesota, he responded to her implication that he would be a “rubber stamp” for Trump’s agenda and only loyal to the former president. Vance asked Harris what she had done to justify questioning his and Trump’s loyalty to the country.

As a 39-year-old Marine combat veteran, Vance would make history as the first millennial vice president if Trump wins the election. His military service has had a profound impact on his approach to governance, as he explained in an interview with Fox News.

Vance emphasized the importance of considering the “right reasons” for sending young people to war, drawing on his own experiences in the Marine Corps to inform his decision-making in the Senate.
