A 26-year-old illegal alien named Melvin Jesus Aquino Enriquez has been accused of causing severe injuries to a three-month-old baby and strangling the baby’s mother in Montgomery County, Texas. Tragically, the baby has passed away as a result of the injuries. Enriquez was arrested on April 17 and charged with causing serious injury to the baby, who was admitted to the hospital with severe injuries on April 14. It is possible that Enriquez will face additional charges now that the baby has died. In addition to the charges related to the baby, Enriquez was previously arrested and charged with strangling the baby’s mother. Police are still investigating the relationship between Enriquez, the baby, and the baby’s mother. Enriquez is currently being held at the Montgomery County Jail on an Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainer and a $750,000 bond.
