A fourth victim has died following a shooting at an Arkansas grocery store, bringing the total number of people hit by gunfire to 14. The victims include 11 civilians, two law enforcement officers, and the suspect. The deceased have been identified as Shirley Taylor, 62, Callie Weems, 23, Roy Sturgis, 50, and Ellen Shrum, 81.
The wounded range in age from 20 to 65, with four still hospitalized, including one woman in critical condition. The two law enforcement officers injured, Fordyce Police Officer James Johnson, 31, and Stuttgart Police Officer John Hudson, 24, have been treated and released.
The suspect, Travis Eugene Posey, 44, of New Edinburg, will be charged with four counts of capital murder. He was treated for non-life-threatening injuries after exchanging gunfire with law enforcement and was then taken into custody.
A motive for the shooting has not been released, and a media briefing is scheduled for Sunday to update on the investigation. The shooting occurred at the Mad Butcher grocery store in Fordyce, a city of approximately 3,200 people, around 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
