Rudy Giuliani, former New York City mayor and strong supporter of Donald Trump, was served with an Arizona indictment at his 80th birthday party in Palm Beach. The party guests were shocked and some even cried as officials served Giuliani, with one guest comparing the scene to the storming of Normandy. The Arizona Secretary of State’s office was criticized for using resources to serve Giuliani at a birthday party instead of addressing crime in the state.

Giuliani is one of 18 individuals involved in the Arizona case, which centers around a “fake electors” plot where forged documents claimed Trump won the 2020 election. Giuliani, along with others, faces felony charges including conspiracy, forgery, and fraud. Trump strategists Steve Bannon and Roger Stone were also at the birthday party along with around 200 guests.

Giuliani’s political adviser expressed disappointment at the way Giuliani was served, calling for more respect for Giuliani’s contributions to the nation. Arizona Attorney General Kris Mayes emphasized that nobody is above the law, regardless of their status.

This incident is not the first time a figure in politics has been served in an unusual manner, as seen in how Stormy Daniels was served with a subpoena while entering a Brooklyn bar. Former President Donald Trump’s legal team served a subpoena to the former porn star as she entered the bar, leaving the papers at her feet.
