After using the Xiaomi Watch S3 for nearly a month, I appreciate its tracking features and unique bezels. However, its limitations make it easy for me to part ways with it. It’s important to note that the global version of the Xiaomi Watch S3 is not available in the US and lacks official support for certain features like NFC.
The watch’s standout feature is its interchangeable bezels, allowing users to change the look of the device drastically. The 47-mm aluminum case is sturdy with a stainless steel bezel that can be rotated and swapped out easily. The watch offers over 100 watch faces and customizable straps, adding to its versatility.
The AMOLED screen is clear and crisp with Corning glass protection, although the low peak brightness may make it hard to read in direct sunlight. The watch is also water-resistant up to 5ATM, making it suitable for swimming.
The Xiaomi Watch S3 focuses on core features like call and notification alerts, health tracking, and utilities like a voice recorder and camera shutter control. It runs on HyperOS, which does not support third-party apps. Navigating the watch is smooth, although the software design could use some improvement. Connectivity is reliable via Bluetooth 5.2, compatible with Android 8 and iOS 12 or later devices.
