I have installed a moisture sensor in my garden bed to monitor soil dryness, allowing me to remotely turn on sprinklers while on vacation. An air quality monitor in my workspace tracks temperature and humidity, important for my guitars, while another monitor prompts me to open windows while cooking indoors. All this data is displayed on the Ambient Weather dashboard, making setup easy.
Ambient Weather has released a digital display upgrade called the Weather Window, with touchscreen controls and variable layouts. While an improvement, it still has some limitations.
I wish the main screen could show the weekly weather forecast without needing to tap the display. The Weather Window’s frame-like edge makes it easy to place anywhere.
For weather enthusiasts, the Ambient Weather system offers detailed data and is a conversation starter. If you enjoy discussing micro-trends in weather and yard conditions, an Ambient Weather system may be worth exploring for you.
