In a rare move, Paramount+ is slashing prices on its annual plans for a limited time. The streaming service is offering its Essentials plan for just $30 per year, a significant discount from its usual price of $60. This plan provides access to a vast library of Paramount+ content, including popular shows like Star Trek, Tulsa King, and Mayor of Kingstown, although with ads.

For viewers who want more, the Showtime bundle is available for $60 per year, down from its usual price of $120. This plan not only includes access to Paramount+ content but also adds Showtime’s extensive library of hit shows, including Yellowjackets, Billions, and The Chi. Additionally, this plan offers live CBS streaming and the ability to download shows to a mobile device, all without ads.

It’s worth noting that while Paramount+ is home to many new Star Trek shows, not all of them are available on the platform. However, fans of the franchise can still enjoy a range of other content, including the Sonic the Hedgehog spinoff Knuckles and a remake of Stephen King’s The Stand.

Showtime, on the other hand, is a well-established cable network with a reputation for producing high-quality content. Its stable of shows includes Dexter, Ray Donovan, and Shameless, as well as the critically acclaimed Twin Peaks: The Return.

These discounted prices are only available until September 6, after which they will revert to their usual rates. Monthly subscription costs, meanwhile, continue to rise. For viewers looking to save money, now is the time to take advantage of these limited-time offers.
