Former President Donald Trump’s running mate, Senator JD Vance, slammed President Joe Biden during his Republican National Convention speech on Wednesday evening, accusing him of ravaging middle-American communities through job-killing free trade agreements and endless wars. Vance, who hails from Middletown, Ohio, shared his own experiences growing up in a small town that had been neglected by the ruling class in Washington.
Vance highlighted how Biden’s decades-long support for the globalist agenda has decimated small towns like his. “When I was in the fourth grade, Joe Biden supported NAFTA, a devastating trade deal that sent thousands of American manufacturing jobs to Mexico,” he recalled.
Contrastingly, Vance emphasized Trump’s long-standing opposition to free trade agreements and wars in Iraq and Afghanistan. “For decades, Donald Trump had a different vision – one that prioritized putting America first,” Vance stated. “A real estate developer from New York, Trump was right on these issues, while Biden was wrong.”
