“I’ve been in media for 30 years, and you can’t buy a better photo than what Donald Trump has at his disposal right now,” Smith said. “The symbolism is powerful: blood trickling down his ear and the side of his face, the American flag behind him, and the crowd going wild. It’s a potent combination that can’t be replicated.”
Smith noted that the media’s reaction to the event was telling, with pundits describing Trump’s behavior as “strong,” “vibrant,” and “courageous.” He contrasted this with the criticism leveled at President Biden, suggesting that Trump’s image has now become the antithesis of what the media has been saying about Biden.
As a self-proclaimed supporter of Biden, Smith acknowledged that the incumbent has his work cut out for him if he hopes to compete with Trump’s newfound momentum. “Donald Trump, in my opinion, has secured the presidency with this,” Smith predicted. “If you are President Biden, boy do you got your work cut out for you now.”
