Yahya Sinwar, the mastermind behind the October 7 terrorist attacks and Hamas leader, has been incommunicado for several days, sparking speculation among Israeli forces that he may have been targeted in an airstrike.
Sinwar has consistently rejected every hostage deal proposed by his allies in Qatar and Egypt, as well as Israel and the United States, over the past 11 months. The situation took a dire turn two weeks ago when six hostages, including American citizen Hersh Goldberg-Polin, were brutally executed by Hamas terrorists in tunnels beneath the Gaza city of Rafah.
Meanwhile, the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) continue to conduct a targeted air campaign in southern Lebanon, hitting hundreds of rocket and missile launch sites. Several homes, which were used as launch sites by Iran-backed Hezbollah, have been destroyed in the strikes.
The IDF’s air campaign follows a precise and targeted attack on thousands of Hezbollah terrorists in Beirut last week. On Friday, the IDF eliminated Ibrahim Aqil, a notorious Hezbollah operative linked to the 1983 Beirut barracks bombings and the U.S. Embassy and Embassy annex bombings.
