Soap opera actress Haley Pullos from “General Hospital” turned herself in to authorities on Monday to begin a 90-day jail term for a DUI crash. The 25-year-old had been facing two felony DUI charges and a hit-and-run misdemeanor charge for a near-fatal traffic accident in 2023.
According to reports, Pullos was charged by the Los Angeles County District Attorney after police found her blood alcohol content to be .08 following the crash on April 29. She was booked into the Los Angeles County jail system on Monday afternoon.
Her attorney, Mark Daniel Melnick, stated that Pullos came forward after pleading no contest to the DUI charge. After serving her jail time, she will return to court on July 29 to be sentenced to five years of probation, 200 hours of community service, and over $8,000 in restitution.
Pullos, known for her role as Molly Lansing-Davis on “General Hospital,” had taken a leave of absence from the show after the crash. She has also appeared in other TV shows such as “House,” “Dollhouse,” and “Mr. Mayor.”
Despite the legal consequences, Melnick expressed Pullos’ gratitude for the court’s minimum sentence and recognition of her remorse and efforts towards sobriety.
