Just hours after a chaotic scene unfolded at Donald Trump’s campaign rally in Pennsylvania, Elon Musk has thrown his support behind the former president. Trump was whisked away by the Secret Service and left the stage with blood on his face following the incident.
Musk took to X, his social media platform, to declare his endorsement, writing, “I fully endorse President Trump and hope for his rapid recovery.” He later shared a photograph of Trump, bloodied and defiant, with the Secret Service surrounding him.
The billionaire entrepreneur and CEO of SpaceX also posted a nostalgic comparison, stating, “Last time America had a candidate this tough was Theodore Roosevelt.” Musk’s sudden change of heart comes on the heels of a reported donation to the pro-Trump America PAC, a significant contribution that has yet to be disclosed.
Trump’s spokesperson, Steven Cheung, confirmed that the former president is “fine” and is receiving medical attention.
The White House has confirmed that President Joe Biden has received an initial briefing on the incident, although further details remain scarce.
