DeSantis highlighted his wife’s successful initiatives, particularly her work with Hope Florida, as evidence of her impact as the state’s first lady.
With Gov. DeSantis unable to seek another term in 2026 due to term limits, potential Republican candidates for the governor’s office include Rep. Byron Donalds, Lt. Gov. Jeanette Nunez, and Attorney General Ashley Moody.
