Ann Coulter has been accused of making racist remarks towards Vivek Ramaswamy, an Indian-American candidate in the Republican Party’s 2024 primary elections. During a podcast discussion on nationalism, Coulter emphasized the importance of having a president who is born in the U.S. and expressed concerns about immigrants not understanding the country’s values. Coulter allegedly stated that she would not have voted for Ramaswamy because of his Indian ethnicity, which she later denied calling it a “total lie.”

Ramaswamy confirmed the conversation on social media, stating that Coulter directly told him she could not support him because of his race. Despite disagreeing with her views, Ramaswamy acknowledged her willingness to speak her mind. Coulter has not publicly addressed the controversy surrounding her comments.

Ramaswamy previously suspended his presidential campaign and endorsed Donald Trump. Trump, now the presumptive nominee, has not yet announced his vice-presidential candidate for the 2024 election. Ramaswamy is considered a potential contender, along with other rumored candidates such as Gov. Kristi Noem, Reps. Byron Donalds and Elise Stefanik, and Sen. Tim Scott.
