Four zebras broke free from a trailer in North Bend, Washington, causing a stir among local residents. The Washington State Patrol reported the incident occurred around 1:00 p.m. while the zebras were being transported. The driver had pulled over to secure the trailer when the animals made their escape.
Witnesses captured footage of the zebras roaming the streets before being corralled by a group of neighbors, officers, and rodeo professionals. Three of the zebras were successfully captured and taken to safety, but one zebra remained on the loose. Despite efforts to prevent them from reaching the interstate, the zebras were pushed into a nearby neighborhood.
Authorities are still searching for the fourth zebra as the owner was transporting them to an animal sanctuary in Montana. Residents and officials joined forces to ensure the safety of the zebras and prevent any harm from coming to them or the community. The unusual sight of zebras on the loose left many in awe of the situation.
