Federal agents discovered in 2016 that Hunter Biden facilitated connections between prospective Chinese business partners and then-Vice President Joe Biden during an official trip to Beijing on Air Force Two, as revealed by IRS whistleblower emails obtained by the House Ways and Means Committee.

It was first reported that Hunter flew with Joe Biden on Air Force Two to China in 2013. Shortly after the trip, Hunter’s firm received millions from a subsidiary of the Chinese government’s Bank of China.

Hunter also mentioned in emails that Joe Biden was very fond of Chinese President Xi Jinping, stating, “I think they are in love with each other.”

“They almost kissed on departure,” Hunter wrote in one of the messages obtained by federal agents.

The collection also included a screenshot of a WeChat message thread from 2017 between Hunter, James Biden, and a person referred to as “Dad.”

In 2018 and 2020, exposés were published in Secret Empires and Profiles in Corruption, each reaching #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. These works disclosed that Hunter Biden and Joe Biden flew on Air Force Two to China in 2013, and less than two weeks later, Hunter’s firm secured a $1.5 billion deal with a subsidiary of the Chinese government’s Bank of China. The investigations also uncovered the Biden family’s other significant foreign deals and instances of cronyism.

Political Editor Emma-Jo Morris’s investigative work at the New York Post on Hunter Biden’s “laptop from hell” gained international attention. Along with Miranda Devine, they revealed that Joe Biden had a significant involvement in Hunter’s businesses, seemingly holding a ten percent stake in a company Hunter formed with officials at the highest levels of the Chinese Communist Party.
