Why they are leaving is because NYC has a soft crummy DA in Bragg. If cops arrest bad people & Bragg keeps letting them out, then it makes your job feel useless. Plus it demoralizes you as being someone that is at least trying to clean up the streets, but Bragg keeps throwing the same trash out there. So cops feel, so why bother to risk their lives anymore in that vicious cycle ☹️

It's safer to be a corrections officer on Rikers Island, than a NYPD police officers in the suburbs. The Illegal aliens already took over the nicer suburbs that they had left.

I'll tell real reason why they are pushing them out, so they can call in the military(like NYC subways) or federalize the police. There's been an increase of FBI/ ATF encounters where they go to someone's house over a social media post or ATF shows up bc you are a gunsmith. Local and state were a semi buffer between citizens and the federal gov. If the fed gov tried to abuse its power or violate the constitution, local/ state could step in(in theory) . Without them, everything is ran through DC
