Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN) is embarking on a whirlwind campaign tour to boost his visibility and shore up support in the final month of the 2024 campaign. The tour comes on the heels of a vice presidential debate performance that left some critics underwhelmed, but still showed a strong showing in snap polls.

Walz’s campaign schedule is packed with events in key battleground states, including Pennsylvania, Ohio, California, Washington, Nevada, and Arizona. He kicked off the tour in Pennsylvania, where he was joined by Sen. John Fetterman (D-PA) for a rally in York.

In addition to campaign rallies and voter engagement events, Walz will also be making his late-night TV debut and appearing on a popular podcast. The campaign is touting these appearances as a way to reach key demographics and target voters.

“Gov. Walz will participate in a range of media interviews and engagements to reach every American voter and make the case for the Harris-Walz ticket,” the campaign said. “With just over 30 days until the election, we’re entering the final stretch of the campaign with a strong travel and media schedule.”

Walz will also be hosting fundraising events in Ohio, California, and Washington, and will travel to the Sun Belt to campaign in Nevada and Arizona. In Arizona, he will host a series of events to kick off early voting, which begins on October 9.

Prior to being tapped as Kamala Harris’s running mate, Walz was a frequent presence on national television, defending Harris’s candidacy and launching attacks on the Trump-Vance ticket. However, since his selection as running mate, his national media appearances have been relatively scarce, prompting some to question his visibility and impact on the campaign.
