A mother residing in Fond du Lac County, Wisconsin, is accused of allowing a man to sexually assault her 12-year-old daughter, according to prosecutors.
Elia Antonio, 33, has been arrested and charged with trafficking her daughter, failing to protect a child, and two counts of misdemeanor bail jumping.
The girl told police that Rocha Mejia is Antonio’s boyfriend.
According to Fond du Lac County prosecutors, Rocha Mejia allegedly paid Antonio over $250 to be alone with her 12-year-old daughter. The girl reported that she was asked to get into a van with Antonio. Before arriving at Rocha Mejia’s residence, Antonio told her to move to the backseat.
The girl managed to break free and run away. She found a residence where she was able to call the police and report the incident.
Both Antonio and Rocha Mejia are being held in local custody on $1 million cash bail each. They are scheduled for a preliminary hearing on June 7.
