In the Biden administration’s mass-parole program in 2023, over 400,000 migrants were relocated to the United States, with 103 flown to Charlotte Douglas International and two to Raleigh-Durham International.
The figures were revealed by the Committee on Homeland Security in the U.S. House of Representatives, showing that North Carolina’s airports did not rank high in passenger volume among the 50+ airports used.
U.S. Rep. David Rouzer criticized the program, stating that 404,000 inadmissible aliens were paroled into the country without legal basis.
The White House defended the program, allowing up to 30,000 individuals per month from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela to enter the U.S. with an eligible sponsor and passing vetting. Miami and Fort Lauderdale airports in Florida had the highest numbers of migrants entering, followed by New York City, Houston, and Orlando.
Rep. Dr. Mark Green criticized Secretary Mayorkas for the program, calling it an unlawful attempt to hide the border crisis. He stated that allowing inadmissible aliens to fly directly into the U.S. without significant public benefit is impeachable. Green vowed to hold the administration accountable for its open-borders agenda and impact on homeland security.
