Donald Trump is scheduled to appear in a New York City courtroom on Tuesday for his business records trial, with Stormy Daniels’ attorney predicting that the porn star will testify. The attorney, Clark Brewster, stated that Daniels, also known as Stephanie Clifford, is likely to take the stand during the trial.
Earlier on Tuesday, Trump expressed frustration at not being given more notice about the witness who would be testifying. This comes after Judge Juan Merchan found Trump in contempt of court for the tenth time during Monday’s proceedings, imposing a $1,000 fine and warning of potential jail time for future violations of the gag order.
The trial also heard from witnesses Jeffrey McConney and Deborah Tarasoff regarding alleged connections within the Trump Organization that led to a payment of $130,000 to Stormy Daniels by Michael Cohen. The prosecution expects to wrap up their case within two weeks, with former Trump attorney Cohen set to undergo intense cross-examination.
The case, known as New York v. Trump, is ongoing in the New York Supreme Court for New York County.
