Trump to Work at McDonald’s, Challenges Harris’s Fast Food Faux Pas

In a move seen as a direct challenge to Vice President Kamala Harris’s claim to have worked at McDonald’s, former President Donald Trump plans to take a break from his campaign trail and work at a local Pennsylvania McDonald’s. Trump’s decision comes after Harris made a statement about her alleged past employment at the fast-food chain, despite there being no evidence to support her claim.

The move is significant, given the crucial role Pennsylvania is expected to play in the upcoming November election. Recent analysis suggests that if Trump wins the state, his chances of securing the presidency increase to 96 percent. Conversely, if Harris wins, her odds of securing the White House jump to 91 percent.

Trump has been vocal in his criticism of Harris’s claim, stating that she never actually worked at McDonald’s and that her resume is filled with exaggerated claims. “Kamala never had a job at McDonald’s,” Trump said at a recent press conference. “Her resume talks about McDonald’s, McDonald’s, McDonald’s.”

Harris, however, maintains that she did indeed work at McDonald’s, specifically claiming that she “did the fries.” She has used this anecdote to highlight her connection to the working class and to emphasize her understanding of the needs of the American people.

Trump’s decision to work at the McDonald’s is seen as a way to prove his commitment to the American people and to counter Harris’s claim. “If I do that even for a half-hour, I’ll have worked longer and harder at McDonald’s than she did,” Trump said, referencing his own decision to take a break from the campaign trail to work at the fast-food joint. The move is seen as a bold attempt to turn the tables on Harris and to highlight the contrast between their two campaigns.

In a recent MSNBC interview, Harris explained that she brought up her McDonald’s experience to highlight the struggles of working-class Americans, many of whom work at fast-food chains like McDonald’s to make ends meet. “Part of the reason I even talk about having worked at McDonald’s is because there are people who work at McDonald’s in our country who are trying to raise a family and pay rent,” she said.
