A recent poll by the New York Times/Siena/Philadelphia Inquirer found that former President Donald Trump continues to have strong support among key swing state voters, as well as making significant gains with Hispanic, black, and young voters. Trump is leading in five of the six swing states, with notable leads outside the margin of error in four of them:

– Arizona: Trump leads 49%-42% among registered voters and 49%-43% among likely voters
– Georgia: Trump leads 49%-39% among registered voters and 50%-41% among likely voters
– Michigan: Trump leads 49%-42% among registered voters, but Biden leads 47%-46% among likely voters
– Nevada: Trump leads 50%-38% among registered voters and 51%-38% among likely voters
– Pennsylvania: Trump leads 47%-44% among registered voters and 48%-45% among likely voters
– Wisconsin: Biden leads 47%-45% among registered voters, but Trump leads 47%-46% among likely voters

The poll also found that independent candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. received an average of ten percent support in these states, drawing equally from both Trump and Biden. The polling data has remained largely consistent since November, with issues like the cost of living, immigration, and the desire for change continuing to impact voter sentiment.

Overall, Trump and Biden are nearly tied among young voters and Hispanic voters, with Trump receiving over 20% support from Black voters – the highest level for a Republican candidate since the Civil Rights Act of 1964. The poll sampled 4,097 registered voters from the six swing states, with a margin of error ranging from 3.6 points to 4.6 points.
