Donald Trump launched a blistering attack on rival Kamala Harris, labeling her a radical left-wing extremist and claiming she has been the driving force behind Joe Biden’s policies.

Speaking at his latest campaign rally in Charlotte, North Carolina, the 78-year-old Republican nominee said that if elected, Harris would be the most extreme occupant of the White House since the founding of the country.

“A vote for Kamala Harris is a vote for socialist healthcare, crippling inflation, the destruction of American energy, and a commander-in-chief who is a pathological liar,” Trump declared. “So if you want all of that, she’s your candidate.”

Trump, who continued to mispronounce Harris’ name, criticized her record on abortion, alleging that she supports the “execution of babies” and has overseen the destruction of the US-Mexico border in her role as Biden’s diplomatic liaison.

Harris, a former California Attorney General, has accused Trump of promoting a nationwide ban on abortion and seeking to rollback the country’s progress on civil rights. Trump responded by calling her a radical lunatic who would destroy the country.

“She’s been lying to the public about Joe Biden’s mental fitness, and I don’t think so, I don’t think so,” Trump claimed.

As Harris hit the campaign trail as the de facto Democratic nominee, Trump’s attacks came as Democrats are grappling with concerns over their party’s direction and Biden’s presidential chances.

Harris, who would be the nation’s first female president if elected, is facing questions about her ability to appeal to a broader electorate.
