Trump claimed that Harris had “single-handedly destroyed” the border, pointing to her poor record on immigration as evidence. He argued that her actions had led to a surge in illegal immigration, with over seven million migrants entering the US under the Biden-Harris administration.
The former president highlighted several policy decisions made by the current administration that he believes have contributed to the crisis, including the cancellation of his border wall project and the suspension of deportations. He also criticized Harris’s “catch and release” policy, which he claimed allowed migrants to enter the US without being tracked.
Trump was particularly scathing in his criticism of Harris’s role in the border crisis, accusing her of being “grossly incompetent, weak, and ineffective” in her handling of the issue. He argued that she was trying to salvage her reputation by visiting the border, but that it was too little, too late.
