Democratic strategist Doug Schoen expressed reservations about supporting Vice President Kamala Harris in the upcoming election, citing concerns over her shifting policy stances and her stance on the Middle East.

During an appearance on Fox News’s The Faulkner Focus, Schoen stated that he is currently undecided on who he will vote for, but cannot commit to backing Harris. His hesitation stems from her recent reversals on key issues, including her position on securing the southern border and her willingness to ban fracking.

Schoen, a former adviser to President Bill Clinton, also voiced concerns about Harris’s commitment to Israel and combating antisemitism. His comments come as pro-Palestinian groups are urging Harris to distance herself from President Joe Biden’s support for Israel, ahead of a critical debate.

The Democratic strategist has been critical of the Biden campaign in the past, labeling it “uniquely tone-deaf” for ignoring his input and that of other party insiders. Harris’s recent policy shifts have also raised eyebrows, with some questioning the sincerity of her new positions.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) suggested that Harris’s attempts to rebrand herself as a centrist may be nothing more than a ploy to win over moderate voters, and that she may revert to her more liberal roots if elected. The presidential race remains tight, with Harris and her opponent tied in several key battleground states, including Arizona, North Carolina, Georgia, and Nevada.
