Former FBI General Counsel James Baker, who played a key role in pushing Twitter to censor the Hunter Biden laptop story, has joined the National Task Force on Election Crises, a left-wing group that aims to shape the outcome of elections. Baker, who is also notorious for his involvement in the FBI’s “Russiagate” hoax, is listed as a member of the task force, which is a subsidiary of the Protect Democracy Project, a litigation group formed to oppose former President Donald Trump’s policies.

The task force, which is headed by prominent left-wing election meddlers, aims to promote early and mail-in voting, prevent “cyber or other attacks by foreign adversaries or domestic disrupters,” and discourage legal election challenges. It also seeks to censor certain online speech about elections and promote the “pre-canvassing of absentee ballots.”

Baker’s expertise, according to the task force’s website, lies in “legal and legislative issues,” “political violence and intimidation,” “foreign and cyber interference,” and “election subversion.” His past experiences, including his role in pushing the FBI’s investigation of Trump and his involvement in the censorship of the New York Post‘s Hunter Biden laptop story, raise concerns about his potential influence on the task force’s activities.

The task force’s members include influential left-wing election meddlers, including Tiana Epps-Johnson, founder of the Center for Tech and Civic Life, and David Becker, founder of the Center for Election Innovation and Research and a “hardcore leftist“. These organizations were recipients of significant funding from Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg in 2020, which was used to boost Democrat turnout in the general election.

Amber McReynolds, a governor of the United States Postal Service, and Tammy Patrick, CEO of programs at the National Association of Election Officials, are also members of the task force. McReynolds was previously CEO of the National Vote at Home Institute, which accessed absentee ballots and worked to shift Michigan election policy.

Patrick was a senior adviser for elections at the left-wing financial powerhouse Democracy Fund and sits on the circle of advisors at NVAHI.

Baker’s involvement in the task force raises concerns about the potential for election interference and manipulation. His history of promoting the FBI’s political persecution of Trump and his involvement in censoring the Hunter Biden laptop story suggest that he may be motivated by a desire to shape the outcome of elections in favor of the left-wing establishment.
