The annual “Cuban Conga Against Homophobia and Transphobia” event, organized by Mariela Castro, took place with a pro-Palestine theme this year. Participants expressed support for the Castro regime’s “gay rights” while also backing the Palestinian cause against Israel. Castro stated that the event supports a “free Palestine” and denounced Israel, using slogans that call for the destruction of the state and its people. She defended the support for Hamas, claiming it does not conflict with LGBTQ rights and highlighted the need to continue advancing social progress once Palestine is free.
