Students’ Radicalization Poses a Threat to the United States and Other Democracies

Columbia Business School Professor Ran Kivetz expressed his concerns about the radicalization of students on college campuses, stating that it has been a long-term threat to the United States and democracies worldwide. Kivetz mentioned that he is not surprised to see faculty members supporting pro-Hamas demonstrators, as some of his colleagues at Columbia have been doing so for decades. He highlighted an incident where campus members celebrated Hamas’ actions, despite the ongoing conflict with Israel. Kivetz emphasized the need to address the radicalization of youth on campuses, as they will be future leaders. He also mentioned that he believes most students and faculty want to focus on their jobs, and he is thankful for the NYPD’s presence on campus.
