A recent poll conducted by The Economist/YouGov shows that a majority of Americans view former President Donald Trump as a strong leader, while most see President Joe Biden as a weak leader.

According to the poll results published on Wednesday, 58 percent of adult respondents believe Trump is a strong leader, with 35 percent describing him as “very strong.” This marks a slight increase from a previous poll conducted in March. On the other hand, 42 percent of respondents view Trump as a weak leader, with 32 percent considering him “very weak.”

In contrast, the poll shows that a majority of Americans, 64 percent, perceive Biden as a weak leader, with 45 percent categorizing him as “very weak.” This represents a four-point increase from the previous poll, indicating a decline in confidence in Biden’s leadership.

Only 36 percent of Americans believe Biden is a strong leader, with 14 percent describing him as “very strong.” In a hypothetical five-way presidential contest, Trump narrowly leads Biden among registered voters, with 44 percent support compared to Biden’s 43 percent.

The poll also revealed that almost seven in ten Americans believe Biden’s America is “out of control.” The survey sampled 1,755 adults, including 1,479 registered voters, from April 28 to 30, with a margin of error of ± 2.9 percentage points for both sample sets.
