According to Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, the individual charged with assaulting actor Steve Buscemi also attacked another person within ten minutes.

Prosecutors have stated that the high-profile attacks by 50-year-old Clifton Williams in Gramercy and Kips Bay were unprovoked. Williams, described as unhoused, was taken into custody on May 17 and was held on bail.

Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg mentioned in a statement on Tuesday that those who threaten or harm pedestrians in Manhattan should be accountable so that no individual has to fear for their safety while walking in the area.

Reports indicate that the 66-year-old actor Steve Buscemi, renowned for his roles in “Boardwalk Empire” and “Fargo,” was assaulted by a stranger on May 8 while walking in Manhattan. The suspect was arrested by the police on Friday following the assault, and a photo of the suspect had been released three days earlier.

Buscemi’s representative confirmed the incident and mentioned that the actor received medical treatment for injuries to his eye at a hospital but was otherwise unharmed.

Earlier in March, Buscemi’s “Boardwalk Empire” co-star Michael Stuhlbarg was also attacked by a different stranger. The individual reportedly struck him in the back of the neck with a rock while in Central Park.
