Recently, three surfers, including one American, were tragically killed in Mexico. Three suspects have been taken into custody, with a new report revealing that the Sinaloa cartel handed the suspects over to the police. The incident occurred when the suspects attempted to rob the surfers but ended up killing them instead. The cartel members helped authorities locate the suspects involved in the crime.
The victims, American Jack Carter Rhode and Australian brothers Callum and Jake Robinson, went missing during a surfing trip near Ensenada on Mexico’s Baja peninsula. Their bodies were found a few days later, each having suffered a fatal gunshot wound to the head. The Baja California Attorney General’s Office has charged Jesús Gerardo “N”, also known as “El Kekas”, with the crime of forced disappearance. Two other suspects have also been arrested in connection with the murders.
Reports suggest that the suspects, including “El Kekas”, planned to steal the victims’ vehicle but ended up resorting to violence. Despite the victims’ attempts to de-escalate the situation, the suspects shot and killed them. The Sinaloa cartel’s involvement in handing over the suspects was motivated by a desire to avoid unwanted attention from Mexican authorities.
