Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX), a co-chair of the Harris-Walz campaign, appeared on MSNBC’s All In on Wednesday, where she expressed her views on the Republican Party and former President Donald Trump’s MAGA wing.
Crockett characterized the Republican Party as one that once supported law and order, but emphasized that Trump’s faction has deviated from those values. “It’s the same old games with these guys,” she said. “They don’t abide by norms. They don’t abide by the law and honestly, anyone that tries to enforce any rules upon them, they literally just steamroll them and they act as if they were all right.”
She highlighted the dangers of Trump’s disregard for norms and the law, particularly in the context of his recent actions at Arlington National Cemetery, which were reported on the show earlier. “It’s really unfortunate, especially when you have someone that is running to be the most powerful person in the world, to know that they literally just have no appreciation for basic norms,” Crockett said.
When asked about her reaction to the altercation, Crockett emphasized that Trump’s behavior is not surprising, given his history of disregarding norms. She also made it clear that her district would not be voting for Trump, stating “I can tell you for sure, my district is not voting for Donald Trump.”
