An encampment at Princeton University, organized by Anti-Israel protesters, will be open for its last day on Wednesday. The Princeton Israeli Apartheid Divest (PIAD) group announced in a letter on Google Documents that after three weeks of establishment, the encampment will close on May 15, but their fight for divestment and Palestinian liberation will continue.

Princeton University President Christopher Eisgruber sent an email to students informing them that the protesters must clear the encampment. Despite pressure from the university administration to close the camp, the PIAD group decided to hold their space to honor Nakba Day and commemorate 76 years of Palestinian displacement after the creation of the State of Israel in 1948.

Nakba Day, observed on May 15th, marks a significant event in Palestinian history. While Palestinians view it as a catastrophe, it was a day of resistance against the British and support for the Nazis. The day also saw attacks on Israel by surrounding Arab countries, leading to the first Arab-Israeli war.
