Hundreds of protesters against Israel were filmed flooding up the stairs of Moynihan Train Hall at Penn Station in New York on Tuesday, heading to Columbia University. They were heard chanting “Free, free, Palestine” while holding Palestinian flags and banners. Some managed to enter the train station, while most were blocked by police. Once inside, they gathered for the uptown A train. The protesters also stopped at other universities earlier in the day before finally boarding a crowded train to Columbia University.

Earlier that day, Columbia University restricted access to its campus after protesters seized control of a building. The university threatened to expel the occupying students. Similar anti-Israel encampments have taken place at other universities, leading to arrests and suspensions. The protesters continue to raise awareness and demonstrate in solidarity with Palestine.
