Former President Donald Trump criticized “radical left pro-crime policies,” such as cashless bail, stating they have “destroyed” New York City while speaking at a rally in his hometown, the Bronx, on Thursday.
PRESIDENT TRUMP: NO CASH BAIL, DEFUND OUR GREAT POLICE, SANCTUARY CITIES, RELEASING VIOLENT REPEAT OFFENDERS — we have seen our cities DESTROYED by these bad, radical left, pro-crime policies!

He added that President Joe Biden “supports all of this insanity and more,” while many people across New York recognize it as irrational.
New York has faced issues with soft-on-crime policies in recent years. In 2019, the state eliminated “cash bail for most misdemeanor and non-violent felony offenses,” Syracuse.com previously noted.
Trump emphasized the repercussions of these policies while discussing the murder of New York City Police Officer Jonathan Diller in March during a traffic stop. Trump, who attended Diller’s wake, remarked that his alleged killer had over 20 prior arrests.
“These dangerous and violent repeat offenders should never have been on our streets. Jonathan should be alive today, but they were released again and again and again,” he stated.
Trump vowed to “stand up to the Marxist D.A.s and Soros prosecutors, and we will tell them, ‘No more.’”
“We’re not going to stand for it. We will not let them destroy our communities. We will not let them destroy our country,” he concluded.
