Former President Donald Trump has faced a series of alarming threats to his safety in recent months, including two reported assassination attempts and a manhunt for a convicted sex offender who made threats against him.

In July, a disturbing incident unfolded at a Trump rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a gunman attempted to shoot the former president. The would-be assassin’s bullet grazed Trump’s ear, and the incident was captured on video.

More recently, Trump narrowly escaped another attempt on his life while golfing at his private club in West Palm Beach, Florida. The Secret Service apprehended Ryan Wesley Routh, who was found hiding along the golf course with a gun and intentions to fire at Trump.

In a separate incident, law enforcement in Arizona launched a manhunt for Ronald Lee Syvrud, a convicted sex offender who made threats against Trump. The search was sparked by concerns that Syvrud might attempt to harm the former president during his scheduled appearance in the region.

A recent poll has highlighted the growing concerns about Trump’s safety, with 65% of respondents expressing fears that another assassination attempt is likely to occur before November 5. The survey, conducted by Rasmussen Reports, found that 32% of respondents consider another attempt “very likely,” while 21% believe it is unlikely, and 14% are unsure.

The poll, which sampled 1,114 likely American voters, was conducted over three days in September and has a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.
