Pelosi’s Masterpiece: Biden’s Face on Mount Rushmore

In a recent interview, former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) sparked controversy by suggesting that President Joe Biden’s face should be added to the iconic Mount Rushmore monument in South Dakota. Pelosi argued that Biden’s presidency has been “so consequential” that he deserves a place alongside the likes of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln, and Theodore Roosevelt.

Pelosi’s comments were met with widespread ridicule online, with former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee (R) calling the idea “laughably ridiculous.” Huckabee even questioned Pelosi’s sobriety during the interview, implying that she must have been under the influence to make such a suggestion.

Pelosi’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris as a potential replacement for Biden as the Democratic Party’s 2024 presidential nominee has also raised eyebrows. Despite Pelosi’s claims that she did not pressure Biden to drop out of the race, many have speculated that she is part of a growing movement to oust him as the nominee.

The Democratic National Committee Chairman Jaime Harrison announced on Friday that Harris has secured the necessary delegates to become the party’s new nominee, fueling speculation about Biden’s future in the race. Meanwhile, Pelosi’s suggestion to add Biden’s face to Mount Rushmore has been met with deafening silence from South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem (R), who has yet to comment on the proposal.

Pelosi’s comments have only added to the growing uncertainty surrounding the Democratic Party’s 2024 presidential nomination. As the party navigates this tumultuous period, it remains to be seen whether Biden will ultimately be replaced by Harris or another candidate.
