A couple in Smith County, Texas, was arrested on Monday for allegedly hiding fentanyl pills in their baby’s diaper. Dredarian Ester, 27, and Jada Speight, 22, are facing multiple charges including endangerment of a child and drug possession. The pair was pulled over by a deputy near a 7-Eleven with their six-month-old in the backseat. The deputy smelled marijuana during the traffic stop and found fentanyl pills inside the baby’s diaper. Ester admitted to putting the pills there, and marijuana was also found in the vehicle. The pills will be sent to a lab for testing to confirm if they contain fentanyl. Smith County Sheriff’s Office stressed the danger of hiding drugs in a child’s diaper. Ester and Speight are now in jail on $105,000 bond each, while the baby was placed in the care of Child Protective Services.
