Authorities in Grainger County, Tennessee, are looking into the disappearance of over 80 cows from a farm in Rutledge last month, as per a report by WATE.

The owner of the cows stated that they were last seen at the farm on Buffalo Springs Road on May 17. However, upon their return the following Tuesday, the cows were nowhere to be found.

Upon investigation, officials made plaster castings of tire impressions at the site and discovered cattle ear tag backings. The incident report mentioned that a total of 84 cows were taken from the farm.

One of the owners, who is in her 70s along with her husband, purchased the cows as an investment for their children and grandchildren. She revealed to Truth Voices affiliate WATE that in addition to the 84 cows, 43 calves are also missing. They are relying on leads from the sheriff’s office and the state agricultural investigator after reporting the missing cattle.

“As of now, we’re just hoping and praying that they get some information and catch who done it,” she said.

The owner mentioned that they have put up a reward for any information that could lead to an arrest.
