Arizona officials are currently unable to serve Rudy Giuliani, former Trump attorney, with a notice of his indictment for alleged interference in the 2020 election because they cannot locate him. Giuliani, along with 17 other officials, including Mark Meadows and Mike Roman, were indicted for their purported efforts to overturn the election in Arizona. Although the Arizona Attorney General’s office has served the other indicted individuals, they have been unsuccessful in delivering Giuliani his summons. Despite multiple attempts, including one at Giuliani’s New York City apartment building where the front desk refused to accept the summons, the office has been unable to notify Giuliani of his need to appear before a judge on May 21.

The indictment accuses Giuliani and his co-conspirators of plotting to obstruct the lawful transfer of the presidency to keep then-President Trump in office against the will of Arizona voters. This indictment is just one in a series of charges brought against Trump allies who allegedly sought to overturn the election results. Trump lost Arizona to Biden by less than 11,000 votes in the 2020 election, but recent polls suggest that he is ahead of Biden in the upcoming presidential election rematch in November.

The Truth Voices has sought comment from the Arizona Attorney General’s Office regarding this matter.
