A Tinley Park man, Noah McGonigal, has been charged with one felony count of possession of child pornography after a search of his previous residence. The investigation began after a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children on June 23, 2023. Authorities searched McGonigal’s home on April 19, 2023, and found files depicting child pornography on his cellphone. The Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office approved a Class 2 felony charge against him, with more charges pending. Interim Tinley Park Police Chief Tom Tilton emphasized the department’s commitment to child safety. McGonigal is currently in police custody and appeared in court for a custody hearing on Friday.
