In southern Germany, two Ukrainian men were tragically stabbed to death, according to police. The victims, aged 23 and 36 and residents of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, were murdered at a shopping center in Murnau, Upper Bavaria. A 57-year-old Russian man was arrested as a possible suspect shortly after the incident. The names of those involved were not disclosed, and the motive behind the killings remains unknown. It is unclear if the individuals had any prior connection.

Since Russia’s invasion of Ukraine in 2022, over 1 million Ukrainian refugees have sought asylum in Germany. The country also houses a significant Russian immigrant community, including 2.5 million individuals of German descent who relocated following the fall of the Soviet Union in the 1990s.
