An attempted assassination at a church service in Pennsylvania was thwarted when a man pulled out a gun on the pastor, but failed to shoot him. The suspect, identified as 26-year-old Bernard Junior Polite, was tackled and disarmed by a congregation member and the pastor before any harm was done. The incident took place at Jesus’ Dwelling Place Church in North Braddock, Pennsylvania, during a Sunday morning service. The police later found a body in the suspect’s home. Polite has been arraigned for attempted homicide, while no one has been charged for the deadly shooting. The pastor, Glenn Germany, recounted the frightening encounter, stating that Polite smiled at him before aiming the gun at him. Despite the close call, no one was injured in the incident.
