Magician David Copperfield, born David Seth Kotkin, has been accused by 16 women of sexual misconduct and inappropriate behavior, with more than half alleging they were underage at the time. The accusations include claims that Copperfield engaged in sexual activity with women who were unable to consent as they had been drugged by him. These incidents reportedly occurred between the late 1980s and 2014.

This is not the first time Copperfield has faced such allegations. One woman, Brittney Lewis, came forward in 2018 alleging that Copperfield had drugged and sexually assaulted her when she was 17. Another victim claimed that Copperfield had drugged her and a friend before engaging in sexual activity with them without their consent.

Some of the allegations involve groping, with one woman stating she was 15 at the time of the incident. Family members of the victim claimed to have witnessed Copperfield groping her breasts during a live performance.

Copperfield has denied all wrongdoing through his lawyers, stating that he has never acted inappropriately with anyone, let alone underage individuals, and that drugs are not a part of his life. His representatives have emphasized that the allegations are false and that they will take appropriate action against them.

In unrelated news, Copperfield was mentioned in court documents related to Jeffrey Epstein, but his lawyers maintain that he was not aware of any improper activities and did not know about Epstein’s crimes. They assert that Copperfield had no reason to contact law enforcement regarding the rumors he heard.
