In an open letter, these celebrities and organizations emphasized the importance of values-based storytelling in today’s society. They encouraged Hollywood to build upon the work of Participant Media and create films that engage audiences in meaningful discussions and promote social change.
While some individuals did not sign the letter and expressed their disdain for Hollywood’s focus on politically-driven films, the push for more diverse and thought-provoking content in the industry continues.
